A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held yesterday, February 24, for Lake Elsinore’s new Dream Extreme Neighborhood Center at 117 South Langstaff St. The 5,700 square-foot former courthouse has been renovated into a new neighborhood center and teen hangout equipped with games and big screen televisions. The center also offers a variety of recreation classes, including fitness, dance, tiny tots, and early education, and is available to rent for parties and meetings. Riverside County deeded the facility to the city in 2016. The city utilized a Community Development Block Grant for the renovation of the new center. The center operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday by reservation only. The Teen Room is open Monday through Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. and 1 to 7 p.m. on LEUSD early release days. The center is closed on major holidays.
