Lake Elsinore resident killed in motorcycle collision

A 71-year-old Lake Elsinore motorcyclist was killed on July 7 in a collision with a vehicle.

The fatality occurred around 9:22 a.m. at Lakeshore Drive and Avenue 6 in the City of Lake Elsinore.

Deputies and Cal Fire personnel located the motorcyclist, who had been ejected from his motorcycle, and immediately began performing lifesaving measures. Despite their efforts, Cal Fire pronounced the motorcyclist, 71-year-old Nicholas Keim, deceased at the scene. 

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Authorities have stated that drugs and alcohol are not factors in the collision.
