A Lake Elsinore teen was arrested on Thursday for the shooting death of 21-year-old Gustavo Morales of Lake Elsinore.
On Wednesday, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to the 500 block of Quail Drive to investigate a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located Morales, who appeared to have been shot, the sheriff’s department said. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and the Lake Elsinore Station assumed the investigation.
On October 15, deputies assigned to the Gang Task Force arrested 19-year-old Noah Arath Buenrostro-Quartaro of Lake Elsinore for his role in Morales’ death. He was taken into custody without incident.
The sheriff’s department confirmed that there are no other outstanding suspects. This is an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Magana of the Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777 or Investigator Andrade at the Lake Elsinore Station at 951-245-3300.
