Lake Hemet at danger level for toxic algae

Lake Hemet is currently at a danger level for toxic algae, according to water test results received on August 20.

Due to this heightened level, additional safety precautions have been put in place to keep guests and their pets safe until the water quality improves.

Guests and pets should have no direct contact with the water. Kayaking and float tubing are temporality suspended.

While fishing remains open daily, guests are urged not to consume fish caught in the lake.

Boats are available to rent and guests may launch their own boats.
