The 10th Annual National Day of Prayer took place on May 4, and the following pastors led prayers: Pastors Dave Dick, Pete Van Dyke, and Derek Singer of Canyon Lake Community Church, Pastor Paul Krueger of New Hope Community Church, Pastor Thor Ramsay of Center Church, and Pastor Mike Chong Perkinson of Lamb’s Fellowship. Brian Crawford of Chosen Peoples Ministries led the prayer for Israel and the Misha Berra. We thank them for their spiritual leadership.
The Elsinore Jr. ROTC Color Guard presented the colors. Mayor Jeremy Smith was the emcee and LEUSD Trustee Jennette Vanderpool led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Councilman Mark Terry led the prayer for the city. EVMWD Director Darcy Burke prayed for unity. Veteran Michelle Wynn prayed for veterans and their families. Canyon Lake Fire Engineer Chico Sanchez prayed for first responders.
Karen Speigel, our new county supervisor, gave the address.
Mike Shroyer provided the sound and patriotic music. Vocalist Aprile McKinnon led the National Anthem and God Bless America and sang Amazing Grace. Harpist Kylene Evans lifted us up with beautiful music.
The children of the CLCC Preschool prayed mightly via video under the leadership of Director Britanny Youngquist.
We thank City Manager Nicole Dailey for her support, Chief LaTendresse for the use of the fire station, and Lamb’s Fellowship crew for the chairs.
