Mayor Jeremy Smith and members of the council will be hosting various informational presentations on areas of interest to the community.
On Sunday, February 5, at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber/Multi-Purpose Room at City Hall, Mayor Smith and Councilwoman Kasey Castillo will be presenting a free hour-long informational seminar on operating a nonprofit. Community members, nonprofit members, and Canyon Lake club board members are encouraged to attend.
Castillo is an attorney and a primary area of her legal practice is nonprofit formation and filings. She is donating her time and expertise to present the seminar.
Topics will include California State requirements, federal requirements, annual filings, document preparation, and a Q&A.
