Twenty-three-year-old Tyler Ferrari was hired by the City of Canyon Lake in April to fill the management analyst position. His duties include managing the city’s social media pages, overseeing the new internship program, creating content for the weekly newsletter, producing video content, and assisting the city manager with various projects and policy initiatives.
“My time here with the city has been great,” Tyler said. “Despite the pandemic, I have been able to learn so much from my co-workers and the City Council, and it’s exciting to have been able to work with the Council on many of their goals over this year. I’m sad to have missed out on great community events like Fiesta Day due to the pandemic, but I look forward to attending these events in the future and being able to meet more members of the community.”
Tyler graduated in 2018 from Chapman University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. He was employed as a field representative for Senator Mike Morrell prior to his employment with the city.
When he’s not working, Tyler enjoys hiking, target shooting, watching the Las Vegas Raiders, and spending time with his girlfriend, who he met in high school seven years ago.
