CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department announced the memorial service honoring the life and service of Fire Apparatus Engineer (FAE) Daniel “Danny” Cook, who passed away on December 31, 2025, after suffering a medical emergency while responding to a structure fire.
At the request of the family, the memorial service will not be open to the public and media; however, the service will be live streamed on YouTube on January 20 at 1 p.m. for those unable to attend. To watch the service, click here.
“FAE Cook will be remembered for his professionalism, commitment to service, and the positive influence he had on his fellow firefighters and the community,” the department said. “His legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched throughout his career. We extend our gratitude to the community for its continued support and compassion
during this difficult time.
Cook was 45 years old. He is survived by his wife and six children.
