The nomination period for the offices of one member of the Menifee City Council in District 2 for a term of four years and one member in District 4 for a term of four years begins on July 18 and closes on August 12 at 5 p.m. Any registered voter of the City of Menifee may run for office.
If nomination papers for an incumbent officer of the city are not filed by August 12, the registered voters in that district shall have until August 17 to nominate candidates other than the persons who are the incumbents for that elective office. If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, an appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by § 10229, Elections Code of the State of California.

The polls will be open at City Hall on November 8 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voted ballots must be received by the elections official no later than the close of the polls on election day or be postmarked on or before election day and received no later than three days after the election day to be counted.
