Menifee Mayor Ricky Estrada, a reservist in the U.S. Air Force, has returned to his mayoral duties following an overseas military deployment that began in October 2025.
“It is great to be back home and in our beautiful country,” Mayor Estrada said. “It’s important I thank all of you
who reached out and shared your moral support with me while I was away. Your encouragement and support
helped keep the fight going.”
During his deployment, the City of Menifee maintained government continuity and had plans in place to ensure that city services and operations continued uninterrupted. Mayor Pro Tem Bob Karwin served as acting mayor during Mayor Estrada’s deployment.
“We are thankful for the mayor’s safe return and appreciate his service to our country,” Mayor Pro Tem Karwin said. “We look forward to
reengaging him in all the great work that has been going on here in Menifee.”
Mayor Estrada will be in attendance at the next city council meeting on Wednesday, May 6.
