Menifee PD champions awareness by launching October patch initiative

In a show of solidarity for Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Month, the Menifee Police Department is launching a special initiative this October.

Throughout the month of October, the men and women of the Menifee PD will have the option to change their patches to pink or purple.

These unique patches are not just for law enforcement personnel; they will also be available for purchase by the public. For $10, community members can show their support by purchasing the patches in person at the Menifee Police Department at 29714 Haun Rd.

Proceeds from the sales of the pink patches will be donated to Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center, a local organization dedicated to providing support and resources to those battling cancer. Funds raised from the sales of the purple patches will benefit Safe Family Justice Centers, an organization that provides comprehensive services that help protect families, seek justice, and promote safe futures for children, youth, and families affected by violence.

This initiative not only raises awareness for two important causes but also contributes directly to organizations making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer and domestic violence. The Menifee PD encourages the community to participate and show support.
