Menifee Police Department announces results of DUI Checkpoint

The Menifee Police Department conducted a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Saturday, April 13, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Menifee Road and McCall Boulevard.

Despite adverse weather conditions, officers screened 113 vehicles. Although scheduled to run longer, the checkpoint was shut down early due to the inclement weather.

One driver was arrested for driving under the influence, exhibiting signs of impairment from a combination of alcohol and drugs, and two drivers were cited for operating vehicles without a valid driver’s license or a suspended or revoked license. Additionally, one individual was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Menifee Police Department said it plans to hold additional DUI/Driver’s License checkpoints in 2024.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
