The Menifee Police Department invites the community to National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at La Ladera Park, 29629 La Ladera Rd.
National Night Out is a family-friendly event featuring officer meet and greets, K9 demos, activities for kids, backpack giveaways, interactive displays, and dunk-a-detective.
Free backpacks will be given to the first 500 K-12 school-aged students.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live. National Night Out brings police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
