A teacher at Menifee’s Chester Morrison Elementary School was arrested on Tuesday morning after an administrator reported concerns that the teacher appeared to be intoxicated while on campus.
On May 26 at approximately 9:40 a.m., an administrator from Chester at the school contacted the Menifee Police Department with concerns that teacher Staci Lyn Baker, 47, appeared to be intoxicated while on campus. Officers responded and conducted an investigation. Based on the findings, Baker was arrested for public intoxication and booked at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center.
At this time, the Menifee Police Department said they have no information indicating that any student was physically harmed or directly endangered during the incident.
The Menifee Police Department said it will “continue working closely with school officials to ensure a safe learning environment for all students and staff.”
