Menifee Union School District Board of Trustees welcomes two new members

The Menifee Union School District Board of Trustees recently welcomed two new members: Xavier Padilla and Morgan Singleton.

Xavier Padilla, representing District 1, previously served as a teacher and a counselor in the Menifee Union School District. He currently works counselor in the Perris Union High School District.

Padilla was selected Teacher of the Year in 1998 and Counselor of the Year in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Padilla said he lives by two mottos: Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care” and “Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world.”

Morgan Singleton, representing District 5, previously worked as a special education teacher in the Menifee Union School District. He currently works as a special education teacher in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

Singleton has a master’s degree in special education and a bachelor’s degree in management. A Menifee resident since 2013, Singleton is married to a high school history teacher and is the father of a six-year-old son.
