On April 21 at about 1:50 p.m., Lake Elsinore Station deputies discovered Jayde Madden, a 28-year-old resident of Murrieta, deceased in a vehicle in the 300 block of Railroad Canyon Road in the City of Lake Elsinore.
It was determined, according to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department, that Madden was a victim of homicide due to a fentanyl overdose.
On August 27, Stephanie Calo, a 28-year-old resident of Menifee, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Calo is suspected of selling the fentanyl that killed Madden.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Cook at 951-955-1700.
Editor’s note: The original version of this article incorrectly identified Madden as being a resident of Menifee. Madden was a resident of Murrieta.
