The Mermaids of Canyon Lake (MOCL) Club honored Kim Pauley as its first member to reach the club’s minimum volunteer requirement hours for the 2023 season. Club President Kathy Ray presented Pauley with a mermaid tiara during the club’s general meeting on Monday evening.

As a membership requirement, each member of the club must complete a minimum of 20 volunteer hours per year. The hours can be served within the club or by helping another club or nonprofit organization as a MOCL member.

The MOCL Club is a nonprofit organization that promotes volunteerism, sisterhood, and community. The club hosts several charitable events throughout the year to raise funds for its charitable causes.

The club’s next event will be its 2nd Annual Derby Day on April 29. The next general meeting will be held on Monday, July 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the senior center. For more information about the MOCL, visit www.mermaidsofcanyonlake.org.
