The Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club wrapped up its 2025 season with a recognition celebration honoring its outgoing board and welcoming the incoming 2026 board. The event was held on December 11 at the Canyon Lake County Club.
For the second consecutive year, Nicole Taylor will lead the club as president. She will be joined by Jess Young, vice president and membership; Holly Franco, secretary; Lynette Rodriquez, treasurer; Kim Pauley, event coordinator; Natassia Wright, social media; and Tammy Matteson, parliamentarian.
The club’s first general meeting for the new year is scheduled for Monday, January 5, at the Canyon Lake Senior Center, followed by a members-only social in February.
Looking ahead to 2026, the club has a full calendar of community events planned, including a Casino Night in March, Derby Day in June, and the Mermaid Tea in August. In addition, the club will be hosting a new community event—the Mermaid and Pirate Festival—in June at Holiday Harbor Park. The club also gives back to the community by curating a free annual community calendar featuring photos by Canyon Lake residents.
“We are looking forward to next year and excited to support our beautiful community together,” President Nicole Taylor said.
The Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that promotes volunteerism, sisterhood, and community. The club hosts several fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds for its charitable causes, such as Helping Hands, Michelle’s Place, and Options for Autism, to name a few.
