This morning at approximately 6:40 a.m., a missing female was found deceased on a ridge behind the 29000 block of High Ridge Circle, according to the Menifee Police Department. Investigators did not observe any signs of foul play.
On September 4, the Menifee Police Department received a report of a missing female from Florida, who was in town visiting family.
On September 5, the Menifee Police Department obtained information that elevated the missing person case to a critical missing person report. The missing female was reported to have been seen near the residence she was staying at in the 29000 block of High Ridge Circle, stated the news release issued by the Menifee Police Department.
Officers were deployed to search the area and detectives were notified to assist with the investigation. Darkness and the rugged terrain made the search efforts challenging.
On September 6 at approximately 1 a.m., a K9 bloodhound from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was requested to assist with the search. The bloodhound tracked the missing woman’s scent from the residence to an area behind the residence where the bloodhound lost the scent, according to officials.
Officers requested the assistance of a helicopter from surrounding jurisdictions and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Team.
At approximately 6:40 a.m., the missing female was found deceased on a ridge behind the 29000 block of High Ridge Circle. No foul play is suspected.
