A 39-year-old Moreno Valley resident has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred nearly two years ago at a Moreno Valley residence.
On July 26, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 24000 block of Fawn Street in the City of Moreno Valley for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon and located a 32-year-old male suffering from a possible gunshot wound.
The victim, later identified as Scott Leflore of Moreno Valley, was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
During the course of the investigation, homicide investigators identified the suspect as Jeffery Donnel Hendrix, a 39-year-old Moreno Valley resident. Hendrix was arrested on May 23 in the City of Rialto and booked on suspicion of murder.
