A Perris woman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter following a deadly crash in the City of Moreno Valley.
On Monday, December 29, at 6:20 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a major injury traffic collision at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Frederick Street and located two vehicles with major damage. Both drivers, and sole occupants, were trapped inside their vehicles, authorities said.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with major injuries. One of the drivers, identified as 37-year-old Yoseph Asfaw of Moreno Valley, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, investigators determined that the second driver, identified as 42-year-old Misty Britan of Perris, was driving under the influence.
