Motorcyclist critically injured in Menifee collision

A 46-year-old man from Paramount remains in critical condition after a vehicle collision in Menifee on October 21.

According to the Menifee Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:17 p.m. at the intersection of Scott Road and Daily Road and involved a Toyota Truck and a motorcycle, both sustaining major damage.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He remains in critical condition.

The driver of the truck, a 65-year-old resident of Menifee, did not report any injuries and waited at the scene for law enforcement to arrive, authorities said.

Preliminary findings indicated the driver of the truck was traveling west on Scott Road, attempting to make a left turn on Daily Road when the eastbound motorcycle collided with the vehicle, throwing the rider from the bike.

The primary collision factor is still under investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to have been a contributing factor in the crash, the department said.

This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Officer Clay at 951-723-1566.
