MSJC will be hosting its 8th Annual Undocumented Student Action Week beginning Monday, October 14.
Featuring an engaging lineup of workshops, webinars, films, and discussions, this week-long event aims to foster awareness and support for policies that enhance the success of undocumented students.
The week will kick off with a keynote address by Dr. Juan Carlos Reyna on Monday, October 14, at the San Jacinto Campus, followed by another session on Wednesday, October 16, at the Menifee Valley Campus.
“Navigating multiple identities can be challenging, but Dr. Reyna’s journey reminds us that belonging isn’t defined by borders—it’s defined by self-discovery,” Lisa Campbell, Associate Dean of Student Services said. “This week, we honor the strength of our Dreamers, who continue to rise above obstacles and redefine what’s possible in their lives and communities.”
As part of a collaborative initiative led by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, and the Foundation for California Community Colleges, MSJC said it is committed to “promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.” The college actively works to eliminate barriers to higher education for undocumented students, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported in their educational journeys toward financial stability.
