Murrieta Fire & Rescue invites community to 76th Anniversary BBQ

Murrieta Fire & Rescue (MFR) invites the community to its annual Firefighter’s BBQ on Saturday, April 15, from 12 to 6 p.m. at Murrieta’s Town Square Park.

One of Riverside County’s longest-running events, the Firefighter’s BBQ is a way for the community to show their support for Murrieta Fire & Rescue and for Murrieta Fire & Rescue to show its appreciation for the community it has served since 1947.

This year’s event features live music at Murrieta’s Town Square Park Amphitheater, a variety of activities throughout the day, vendors, and other activities. As is the tradition, barbecue guests will enjoy a smoked tri-tip lunch, music, a beer and wine garden, a cornhole tournament, and a vendors market.

There is a nominal fee for lunch, food vendors, and libations in the beer and wine garden.

Attendees will have the opportunity to cheer on fire explorers from throughout Southern California in the annual Fire Explorers “Muster” Competition.

The Top 40s band Bad Influ3nce will be performing from 12 to 3 p.m. Your Mom Band will be performing pop-rock from 3 to 6 p.m.

Signups for the cornhole tournament will be taken on the day of the event.

This family event is free and open to the public. Pets are welcome but must be leashed. For more information, visit www.mfrbbq.com.
