Murrieta Police Department partners with new local Crime Stoppers to prevent crime in community

The City of Murrieta now has its own regional Southwest Riverside Crime Stoppers (SWRCS), a 501c(3) non-profit that provides a means for citizens to anonymously report crimes they have witnessed and potentially receive a reward if the tip leads to an arrest.

SWRCS encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

SWRCS allows members of the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime. Callers and online tips remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given comes through Crime Stoppers, is anonymous, and leads to an arrest.

Citizens can provide tips by going to www.swrcrimestoppers.com or by calling toll-free at 844-227-8477 (TIPS).

Southwest Riverside Crime Stoppers is exclusively supported by donations and not by tax funds. For additional information, contact SWRCS Board President Tony LoPiccolo at 951-751-2242.
