The Murrieta Police Department is investigating a serious assault that occurred on the October 31 between 10:30 and 11 p.m. near the intersection of Margarita Road and Grove Way in the City of Murrieta.
The altercation took place between two adult males, resulting in one individual sustaining serious injuries and being transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving 9-1-1 calls reporting the assault. Several witnesses remained at the scene and were interviewed by responding officers.
Investigators believe additional individuals may have witnessed the altercation but left the area before police arrived.
