Murrieta Public Library’s 3rd annual Earth Day and Plant Trade will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Featuring speakers, vendors, and food stalls, this free family event has something for everyone.
The highlight of the event will be the plant trade, where participants can trade their plants, seeds, knowledge, or tools with event partners Plant Traders Inland Empire. A new addition to this year’s event is Drive Electric Earth Day, a local electric vehicle showcase.
The Seed Library will have its ribbon-cutting ceremony during the Earth Day event. The Seed Library’s grant-funded expansion will provide the community of Murrieta with a larger seed library, providing free access to seeds and fostering community resilience, self-resilience, and sharing among neighbors.
The Library is starting a new garden club—Murrieta Grows and Murrieta Grows Kids Club—to help support the newly expanded Seed Library, the coming pollinator garden, and a variety of presentations and activities.
