The Murrieta Public Library is hosting an Earthquake Preparedness Film and Expo on Saturday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event will feature an interactive earthquake simulation, allowing attendees to experience the impact of a magnitude 8.0 earthquake, as well as a screening of Great Heroes, an inspiring film based on true stories.
Attendees can also explore exhibits on the Northridge Earthquake, earthquake science, and essential safety resources covering the Seven Steps to Earthquake Safety.
The event schedule is as follows:
- 9:00 to 9:15 a.m. – Event opens
- 9:15 to 9:30 a.m. – Comments from officials and special guests
- 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. – Screening of Great Heroes
- 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Seven Steps Information and Safety Fair
