Adventures await at Murrieta Touch-a-Truck event

The Murrieta Public Library will be hosting its annual Touch-a-Truck event on Tuesday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Touch-a-Truck features 20 vehicles available for touring and picture-taking. Families can look forward to exploring various emergency response vehicles, including fire trucks and police cars, as well as public works vehicles.

New features this year include a trackless train ride, food vendors, exhibitors, a live local band, lawn games, and a sensory room for families to sneak away to get some quiet time.

To accommodate children with noise sensitivities, there will be no horns or sirens from 9 to 10 a.m.

Participating organizations include Murrieta Police Department, Murrieta Fire & Rescue, California Highway Patrol, CalFire, Sturgeon Electric, Temecula Creek Veterinary, Riverside Transit Agency trolley and bus, Waste Management trash truck, RCP big rig, and many more.

The San Diego Blood Bank will also be attending with their Bloodmobile from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for community
members who would like to donate blood.
