Murrieta woman breaks into Wildomar home, found hiding in bathroom

On September 19 around 3 a.m., deputies responded to an alarm call in the 22000 block of Gierson Avenue in the City of Wildomar. The homeowner was on vacation and no one was supposed to be at the residence, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Lake Elsinore Station.

Deputies arrived at the location and found the front door kicked in. A perimeter was quickly established and a K9 was called to assist.

Stacey Dougherty, a 48-year-old resident of Murrieta, was found hiding in a bathroom. 

Dougherty was arrested and booked for first degree burglary and vandalism. Jail records show she is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail.
