Meet Justin Dudley and Brooke Swan, residents of Canyon Lake for the past three years.

Justin and Brooke met on the Bumble dating app in January 2020. After a few conversations, they decided to meet at a speakeasy in Temecula. They both enjoy trying a good whiskey or bourbon, which is one of the immediate attractions they shared.

When they first started dating, Justin lived in Oxnard and Brooke lived in Rancho Cucamonga. Justin would drive 130 miles one way to visit Brooke three to four times a week.

Justin said he never really believed in love at first sight, but after seeing Brooke for the first time, he was a believer. They purchased their home in Canyon Lake four months later.

Fifteen months after meeting Brooke, Justin proposed to her while they were vacationing in Hawaii. They haven’t set a date for their wedding yet, but Brooke knows she wants a midsize wedding with about 100 guests.

Justin and Brooke are enjoying the life that Canyon Lake offers. They share their home with their border collie, Brody, two hamsters, and three fish.

Justin said he loves the community’s patriotism and pride. Brooke loves how the community celebrates holidays. Halloween is her favorite.

Justin and Brooke own and operate their own separate businesses. Brooke works from home running her business, Clarity Bookkeeping and Consulting, of five years.

Justin, who served five years in the Marine Corps, works as an aviation mechanic and owns Tally-One Aircraft Services. Justin said he was obsessed with airplanes as a very young boy. His fondest memories are of the times when his dad would take him to Point Mugu to watch the air shows. Justin is a patient and mild-mannered guy, which may come from three generations of teachers in his family.

I first met Justin when he responded to my post on Facebook about needing whip lights installed on my golf carts, which he offered to install at no charge. I immediately felt a connection with this amazing couple and I feel honored to introduce them to the community.
