On November 23, Canyon Lake Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse and City Manager Chris Mann joined air ambulance provider REACH Air Medical Services for an aerial tour of Canyon Lake to identify landing zones within the city for emergency medical air transport.
With helicopters located at the French Valley Airport, REACH is the closest and most likely air ambulance provider to respond, with Mercy Air the next closest out of the Hemet-Ryan Airport.
Today, December 8, the Canyon Lake Fire Department will be conducting air ambulance training at East Port until 4 p.m.
The city is set to launch its new fire department on January 1. Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse is currently in Wisconsin doing a final inspection on the city’s new engine.
