A new community bench recently installed near the lodge pool honors longtime Canyon Lake resident Chris Greer, who passed away on August 12, 2022, after battling cancer. She was 65.

The bench was purchased by her son, Hank, and longtime friend, Sharon Caren, with the help of donations in lieu of flowers at her funeral.

The bench was installed near the lodge pool where Greer spent many years attending water aerobics. “The lip impression was Hank’s idea,” Caren said. “Chris was known for the Mac red lipstick she wore every day.”

Greer was a resident of Canyon Lake for more than 35 years and a partner of the Law Offices of Beck & Greer in the Canyon Lake Towne Center.

The bench honoring Greer was installed as part of the POA’s Bench Program. Bench locations are based on availability and must be approved by the POA. Benches are the property of the POA and are maintained by the POA. Bench sponsorship forms are available at the POA office.
