The Menifee Police Department screened 558 vehicles during a Sobriety Checkpoint on May 28 in the 2800 block of Highway 74.
According to the Menifee Police Department, two drivers were determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and one driver was found to be in possession of 6.4 ounces of methamphetamine, 11 drug pipes, a scale, 186 benzodiazepines pills, five hydrocodone pills, and four Dilaudid pills.
Nine arrests were made, eight vehicles were towed/impounded, and 29 citations were issued for various vehicle code violations.
