Nine commercial vehicles were placed out of service this week following a joint inspection checkpoint and enforcement operation conducted by California Highway Patrol officers from the Riverside area office, CHP Inland Division Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, and the Riverside Police Department.
The operation targeted commercial vehicles traveling along La Sierra Avenue between Indiana Avenue and El Sobrante Road.
A total of 20 commercial vehicle inspections were conducted. Seven unlicensed/out of class drivers were issued citations, nine commercial vehicles were placed out of service, and numerous equipment citations were issued for various violations.
