POA creates new rule regarding offensive banners, signs

In response to a large number of complaints regarding specific offensive banners in the community, the POA Board of Directors voted on May 22 to pass an emergency rule prohibiting such banners. The rule is as follows:

General Rules, 4.6 Signs/Flags in Separate Interest Outside Community Setback: Regardless of size, no sign, poster, flag, or banner viewable from the common area shall contain any “obscene material” or “fighting words” as those words are defined in the law. Violators of the new rule will be given one warning and then fined $250 per occurrence.
