On October 19 at about 1:46 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a major injury traffic collision involving two vehicles at Grape Street and Olive Street in the City of Wildomar, where deputies located both drivers trapped inside their vehicles.
With the assistance of Cal Fire, both drivers were extricated and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Despite life-saving measures, one of the drivers ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, alcohol was not a factor in the collision. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
