On December 1 at 6:40 p.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station responded to a major injury traffic collision at Corydon Street and Plessner Way in the City of Wildomar where they located an adult female pedestrian suffering from major injuries.
Life-saving measures were performed by deputies and CalFire paramedics. The victim, later identified as 49-year-old Virginia Gonzalez, was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the location and cooperated with the investigation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The Lake Elsinore Station Traffic Reconstruction Team assumed the investigation and do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. Corydon Street was closed for several hours during the investigation.
