A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on Saturday morning in the City of Wildomar.
Around 7:33 a.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station to the area of Sedco Boulevard and Mission Trail in the City of Wildomar and located a male in the roadway with significant injuries. Deputies performed life-saving measures before the man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced deceased.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Alcohol and or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
