A pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene of a traffic collision near the intersection of Alderwood Way and Mariposa Way in the City of Perris on Monday.
Deputies responded to the scene at about 1:35 p.m. and located a collision involving a green 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and life-saving measures were performed. She died at the scene, according to authorities.
The driver of the Oldsmobile Bravada was transported to the Perris Sheriff’s Station for questioning. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
The Perris Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Deputy Cail at the Perris Sheriff’s Station at 951-210-1068.
