A 37-year-old Perris woman was killed and several others were injured following a major two-vehicle traffic collision in Moreno Valley early Sunday morning.
At approximately 5:35 a.m. on June 14, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Perris Boulevard and San Michele Road after receiving reports of a serious crash involving two vehicles. When deputies arrived, they found both vehicles with significant damage.
One of the drivers, later identified at Diana Diaz, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the second vehicle also sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Passengers in the second vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were also transported for medical treatment.
Investigators have not determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
