An airplane crash on July 4 claimed the life of a Temecula man and injured three juveniles.
Around 1:58 p.m., deputies were dispatched to an air emergency in the 37000 block of Industry Way in unincorporated Murrieta and discovered a small plane carrying four occupants had crashed.
The Cessna Skyhawk crashed and flipped over near the French Valley Airport. The pilot was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three juveniles were transported to a local hospital with different degrees of injuries.
The pilot was identified as 39-year-old Jared Newman, a Temecula chiropractor.
Officials have not yet released the cause of the crash. The investigation was assumed by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
