In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as a show of support for the nation’s veterans, Canyon Lake firefighters will be donning pink T-shirts and camouflage hats with lavender lettering throughout October and November.
The pink T-shirts serve as a powerful symbol to raise awareness about breast cancer and emphasize the critical importance of early detection. By wearing them, the department stands in solidarity with those currently battling breast cancer, as well as with survivors who have bravely fought and won their battles.
The camouflage hats pay tribute to U.S. veterans and active-duty service members, while the lavender lettering represents the collective fight against all forms of cancer.
Together, the firefighters aim to raise awareness, honor both cancer patients and veterans, and demonstrate their ongoing commitment to supporting these causes.
