The Canyon Lake POA’s June 1 grace period for boat and golf cart registrations ending April 30 has been extended to June 15. Members must be in good standing to register their boat and/or golf cart. Unpaid assessments, security fines, horse board and/or unresolved CC&R violations will prevent the issuance of decals.
Boat registration decals are issued each fiscal year as required on an annual registration basis. To register a boat, the member must be in good standing, pay the required fee, and provide proper documentation, including current registration which must be registered to a valid member or lessee with boating rights plus proof of insurance with appropriate coverage.
Golf cart decals are also issued annually on a fiscal year basis. The POA no longer charges $45 for a decal; however, members must provide proof of insurance. The POA does not have any minimum liability coverage or additional insured requirements for golf carts.
To register a golf cart, the member must be in good standing, provide proper documentation, including current registration which must be registered to a valid member or lessee with golf cart privileges plus proof of insurance with appropriate coverage, and sign a Cart Operation, Registration, Indemnification and Release Agreement indemnifying the POA from any liability associated with or arising out of the use of the cart.
