On July 30, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Marine Patrol report for June 2021.
Marine Patrol received 340 calls for service in June. This number is down from the 541 calls received for service the previous month.
Staff performed 232 boat safety inspections, seven boat tows, two battery assists, and 47 quagga inspections.
Twenty-one fishing license checks were performed. Nineteen fishing license warnings were issued.
Marina Patrol issued 21 warnings for expired/no registration (POA), 31 citations for expired/no registration (POA), and one citation for expired/no registration at a dock or lift.
One citation was issued for excessive wake.
Two loud noise, six excessive wake, and three reckless behavior while operating a motorized boat warnings were issued.
Marine Patrol boats operated a total of 199.4 hours on the main lake, 183 hours on the East Bay, and 27.6 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 162 hours, boat two operated 146.2 hours, boat three operated 27.6 hours, and boat four operated 71.2 hours.
The primary functions of the Marine Patrol are rules and regulations compliance, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
