On April 2, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Marine Patrol report for February 2021.
Marine Patrol received 84 calls for service in February. Staff performed 44 boat safety inspections, eight boat tows, three battery assists, and 10 quagga inspections.
Twenty-seven fishing license checks were performed. Five fishing license warnings and one citation were issued.
Two citations were issued for reckless behavior while operating a motorized boat. One citation was issued for expired/no registration at a dock or lift and one citation was issued for expired/no registration POA.
Two excessive wake, one follow counter-clockwise pattern, one lifejacket, and one non-compliance warnings were issued.
Marine Patrol boats operated a total of 125.5 hours on the main lake, 98 hours on the East Bay, and 4.9 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 50.9 hours, boat two operated 111.8 hours, boat three operated 4.9 hours, and boat four operated 60.8 hours.
No incidents were reported.
The primary functions of Marine Patrol are rules and regulations compliance, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
