On March 16, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Marine Patrol report for January 2021.
Marine Patrol received 31 calls for service in January. Staff performed 14 boat safety inspections, three boat tows, one battery assist, and 19 quagga inspections.
Sixteen fishing license checks were performed; two citations were issued. One citation was issued for expired/no registration at a dock or lift.
Two excessive wake, one follow counter-clockwise pattern, and two non-compliance warnings were issued.
Marine Patrol boats operated a total of 124 hours on the main lake, 116.7 hours on the East Bay, and 4.9 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 58.1 hours, boat two operated 137.9 hours, boat three operated 4.9 hours, and boat four operated 39.8 hours.
No incidents were reported.
The primary functions of Marine Patrol are rules and regulations compliance, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
