The POA announced that it’s reopening Canyon Lake’s pickleball and tennis courts on Saturday, April 25.

On April 20, Riverside County revised its orders to allow tennis courts, golf courses, and other outdoor activities to reopen, with restrictions, after being closed due to the coronavirus crisis. On April 23, the City of Canyon Lake amended its order to permit the playing of tennis and pickleball with strict restrictions on use and play.

These restrictions require all persons who do not reside in the same household to maintain at least six feet distance from each other at all times and wear face coverings.

Pickleball play is limited to one person on each side of the court. Tennis is limited to two persons on each side of the court.

The county, city, and POA Community Patrol staff will be closely monitoring these facilities and the public’s compliance with these new regulations.

Failure to comply with these requirements is punishable by law and could incur civil penalties of up to $1,000. Additionally, any person found not complying with these requirements will be banned from using these facilities for 30 days.

Additional guidelines are posted on the POA website at www.canyonlakepoa.com.
