Using a dough ball for bait, 16-year-old Art Arvizu landed an impressive 15-pound carp on October 5 at Canyon Lake.
The catch marked his first double-digit carp—a milestone moment for the young angler. It wasn’t his first double-digit catch, though. At age nine, Arvizu caught a 10-pound bass.
Arvizu fishes every chance he gets, honing his skills and passion for the sport. He enjoys fishing for carp, catfish, bass, and bluegill.
