Nine-year-old Nolan Kalmikov caught a bass weighing more than 10 pounds while fishing from his papa’s dock on the main lake on Sunday evening.
Nolen caught the double-digit bass on his last cast of the evening and reeled it in without any help. It was one of about six or seven fish Nolan caught on Sunday. He used his Walmart pole with mackerel as bait.
According to Nolan’s father, the youngster has been fishing with his Papa K since the age of one and enjoys fishing “all the time.”
When Nolan grows up, he wants to own a charter boat so he can take people fishing.
